The Atlas view gives you a bird’s-eye perspective of every color coded parcel, Estate, road, district, and plaza in Decentraland.

You can click and drag the map to move around, zoom in and out, or hover your cursor over a parcel to see its x,y location and owner.

Any parcel that is currently for sale in the Marketplace will be highlighted.

Click on a parcel to view it’s status, its coordinates, and its owner’s public address (if it has an owner). From this screen you can also buy or place a bid on the parcel.

The Marketplace View #
Select the Browse tab to see all the items that are for sale.

Select the Category to view only a specific type of item .
Order them by different criteria like most recent, cheapest, etc.
Toggle On sale off to view items that aren’t for sale.
Filter items by name to find something specific.

Buy MANA #
To buy MANA in exchange for Ether:

Open your user Settings page.
Click Buy More next to your MANA balance.
This takes you to Kyber Swap, where you can easily exchange Ether to MANA.
Set an amount of MANA you’d like to receive or the amount of Ether you’d like to convert, then click Swap Now.
Confirm this transaction on your Ethereum client and wait for the network to verify it.
Buy items #
To buy LAND, Estates, wearables or unique names in Decentraland:

Browse offers to find something on same that you’d like to buy and click it to open its details.
💡 Tip: For LAND and Estates, you can also browse using the Atlas view.
On it’s details page, click Buy.

Confirm this transaction on your Ethereum client and wait for the network to verify it.

Place a bid on an item #
If an item isn’t listed on sale, you can still place a bid on it and offer to buy it at a specific price. The other steps of the process are just like those of buying an item.

💡 Tip: View items that aren’t for sale by untoggling the On sale option. For LAND and Estates, you can also browse using the Atlas view and select any parcel.
📔 Note: If this is your first time placing a bid on the Marketplace, you will also be asked to confirm a one-time transaction to allow the Marketplace to handle bids.
To view a list of your open and pending bids, select My Bids on the top navbar.

From this screen you can also change the price of your bid by clicking Update. This screen also shows bids made by other users on items you own.

Sell a parcel or Estate #
To sell one of your items:

Open My Assets and open its details page.
In the details page, click Sell.
Set a price and expiration date and click List for sale. Then retype the price you’re selling it at to confirm.
Confirm this transaction on your Ethereum client and wait for the network to verify it.
📔 Note: If this is your first time selling an item of this asset type on the Marketplace, you will also be asked to confirm a one-time transaction to allow the Marketplace to accept MANA.
You can change the price of a sale that you already put on offer without having to cancel and re-create the sale. Just click Update price in the parcel or Estate’s details page.

See your activity history #
Open the notifications page by clicking the bell icon at the top of the screen.

The notifications page displays a list of all the recent transactions that you have carried out, together with their status.

Click a transaction to see more details about it on Etherscan.

📔 Note: This screen only shows transactions that were initiated by you. It doesn’t show the sale of tokens, since that action is initiated by the buyer.
Transfer LAND #
To transfer a LAND parcel or Estate to another user:

Open My Assets and open the details page of the parcel or the Estate you’d like to transfer and click Transfer.

Enter the public address of the Ethereum wallet of the recipient.

📔 Note: Please double check this address, since you cannot cancel the operation. While the recipient could always transfer the LAND back to you, the original owner cannot reverse the action.
Click Submit.

LAND Manager

The Land Manager allows you to manage your LAND and Estate assets.

Access the Land manager at https://builder.decentraland.org/land.

The Land Manager allows you to:

Name your parcels and Estates and give them a public description.
Merge LAND parcels into an Estate.
Dissolve an Estate into separate LAND parcels.
Transfer your parcels and Estates to another user.
Grant permissions to other users to edit the parcels you own.
Manage Your LAND #
To view your LAND tokens, click Manage your LAND. Here you’ll find a list of all of your parcels and Estates, including any parcels that you have listed for sale.

By clicking on one of the parcels or Estates listed under Land, you can edit its name, description, set an operator, or transfer it directly to another wallet address.

Create an Estate #
LAND Estates make it possible to associate two or more directly adjacent parcels of LAND to make it easier to manage your larger LAND holdings. Estates are especially useful when building larger scenes that span more than one parcel.

Parcels in an Estate must be directly adjacent, and cannot be separated by a road, plaza, or any other parcel.

To create your first Estate, you need to own two or more adjacent LAND parcels.

Open My LAND and select one of the parcels you’d like to add to the Estate.

In the parcel’s details page, click Create Estate.

You will be shown a view of the Atlas centered on the parcel you selected, with the remaining adjacent parcels you own highlighted. Select the different parcels you want to include in your Estate.

Click Continue.

Enter a name and description for your Estate. These details will be publicly displayed in the Atlas, just like the name and description for any individual parcel.

Once you’ve created your first Estate, you will see a new tab titled Estates. From this page you can view and manage all of your Estates.

When you create a new Estate, you are effectively transferring your parcels to a new token. These Estates are represented by ERC721 tokens (like any other NFT). You will no longer see the individual parcels under My LAND, and they will not appear in MetaMask, Mist, Trezor, or Ledger wallets, nor on Etherscan under your address.

Edit parcels or Estates #
You can edit the name and description of any parcel or Estate that you own. These details will be publicly displayed in the Atlas.

To edit a parcel or Estate:

Navigate to the details page of the parcel or the Estate you’d like to edit and click Edit.

Click Submit.

Give permissions #
You can give another user permissions to edit the content in a parcel or Estate. This enables that user to deploy code to the scene, whilst not having the ability to sell the token.

The user given permission can also change the name or description in the Marketplace.

To grant permissions over your LAND:

Navigate to the details page of the parcel or Estate and click on the three dots and then Set Operator.

Fill the form with the desired info.

Click Submit.

Get parcel info

You can use the Decentraland CLI to query info directly from LAND tokens in the blockchain and from the scene files uploaded to the content server.

To run these commands, you must first Install the CLI.

Get info about a scene #
The dcl info command returns the contents of a scene’s scene.json file, including owner, contact info, and parcels in the scene.

dcl info from the scene’s folder returns info about that specific scene.
dcl info x,y, where x and y are parcel coordinates, returns info about the scene in that location.
📔 Note: Don’t add a space between both coordinates.

dcl info id, where id is an estate id, returns info about the scene with that estate id.
The dcl status command returns a list with the files deployed to a scene. This only includes file names and sizes. You can’t access the contents of the files via the CLI.

dcl status from the scene’s folder returns info about that specific scene.
dcl status x,y, where x and y are parcel coordinates (with no spaces between them), returns info about the scene in that location.

dcl status id, where id is an estate id, returns info about the scene with that estate id.
📔 Note: Everything that’s uploaded to our content server is public and reachable through that network. When you deploy a scene, by default you’re not uploading the original source code for the scene, instead you upload a version that’s compiled to minified JavaScript, which is a lot less readable.
Get info from a wallet address #
The dcl info command also lets you see info about an Ethereum wallet and the LAND tokens that it owns.

dcl info xxxx, where xxxx is the Ethereum address you’re interested in, returns a list of all the LAND parcels and estates owned by that address and their details.

What is the DAO

The Decentraland DAO is the decision-making tool for MANA, NAMES and LAND holders in Decentraland’s virtual world. Through votes in the DAO, the community can issue grants and make changes to the lists of banned names, POIs, and catalyst nodes. The DAO also controls the LAND and Estate smart contracts.

Issuing grants and making changes to the records and contracts owned by the DAO can only be done by using predefined proposals accessible in governance.decentraland.org.

These proposals, the votes submitted, and final results are all stored in IPFS via Snapshot, a gas-less voting client. Approved proposals with binding actions are enacted on the Ethereum blockchain by a committee by means of a multi-sig wallet. This committee is overseen by the Security Advisory Board (SAB), another multisig with trusted key holders. This Committee was voted into place by the community in the previous release of the DAO. The DAO is powered by smart contracts #
All DAOs, or decentralized autonomous organizations, are part of a new approach to organizational management and decision making made possible by Ethereum.

Ethereum extended what’s possible with blockchains by adding the ability to decentralize the handling of data more complex than just records of token ownership. Ethereum did this by allowing people to put smart contracts on a blockchain.

What’s a smart contract? #
A smart contract is a computer program that is run on the Ethereum blockchain. It can store both functions (bits of code that do things) and data (information). Smart contracts are often compared to vending machines. If you put in specific inputs, you get specific outputs. If I walk up to a vending machine, insert $1, and press the “orange soda” button, then I’ll get an orange soda if there’s any left in the machine. If there’s no more orange sodas, I’ll get my dollar back.

Smart contracts work the same way, people can interact with them by sending information with the expectation of receiving specific results or information. Just like the vending machine doesn’t have a little person inside handing out sodas, smart contracts are automatic (dare we say, autonomous).

The DAO controls Decentraland’s critical smart contracts #
The second important quality of smart contracts is their ability to own other smart contracts.

That’s right, every smart contract has its own address (just like the address of your Ethereum wallet) that allows it to own other smart contracts and cryptocurrencies.

So, in slightly more technical terms, a DAO is one or more smart contracts that can perform specific, pre-defined tasks and maintain ownership of cryptocurrencies. DAOs are built in such a way that they will only perform their tasks under specific conditions, such as the passing of a proposal voted on by a group of people who own a certain token (like MANA, NAMES or LAND). All of this is done on a blockchain. Hence the name, “decentralized autonomous organization”.

Decentraland’s DAO also owns a sum of MANA and other tokens along with the LAND and Estate smart contracts. This fund has been set aside to help sponsor community grants and to help grow the Decentraland platform according to the decisions and directions voted on by the community.

📔 Note

The DAO does not own, and so cannot modify, the MANA smart contract.

The MANA contract’s owner is the TokenSale contract. The owner of the TokenSale contract is a separate contract that self-destructed on deployment (as you can see on Etherscan here). This means that there is no other contract or wallet with the permissions to modify or pause the MANA supply.

There is other information that the DAO controls as well, such as the list of harmful or offensive names that are not permitted in Decentraland, a list of notable locations (POIs or Points of Interest) to be promoted to new users, and the list of community run servers that host Decentraland’s virtual world.

Transferring any of the DAO’s MANA, modifying the LAND or Estate smart contracts, or modifying any of the other listed information controlled by the DAO can only be done with the approval of MANA, NAMES and LAND holders.

A Fully Decentralised RPG and Collection Game Built On The Immutable X L2 Network

Welcome to the world of Illuvium. A shattered land of beauty and wonder. Travel the vast and varied landscape hunting dangerous beasts, then capture them to battle in the Arenas or trade via the exchange.

Prior to launch of the game, $ILV holders may choose to stake $ILV to access the liquidity mining program (a type of ‘yield farming’ that has become popular with DeFi protocols where the founding teams seek to decentralise the governance of the protocol).

The purpose of the liquidity mining program is to distribute $ILV from the Illuvium Treasury to early Illuvium community members to: 1) achieve a distributed holding of $ILV tokens across more of the Illuvium community, 2) incentivise new people to participate in the Illuvium community, and 3) to enable a more liquid and transparent market for the trading of $ILV. Layer 2 Ethereum Scaling Solution – Immutable X

Ownership is vital to collection games. If you don’t own your collection, the entire value proposition falls apart. This is why digital media has struggled in this space and why games with tangible assets, such as card games, have stood the test of time. But with the advent of NFTs and the investigation of their implications, the conventions about ownership, value, and utility of digital property all change.

So what is an NFT?

An NFT, or non-fungible token, is a crypto token representing a verifiably unique entity that is mutually interchangeable. The first NFT-like token was launched back in 2012 and was built on the Bitcoin blockchain. However, the most common NFT, ERC-721, is built on the Ethereum network.

NFTs became popular with the launch of CryptoKitties back in November 2017. Being a blockchain based game built on Ethereum, CryptoKitties was prone to multiple scalability issues. However, the rarity of owning an NFT captured everyone’s attention. Since then, add-ons and NFTs have found their way into many games, art and collectables.

Why did Illuvium choose Immutable X?

One of the primary issues NFT projects and users are currently facing is the cost of performing transactions on the Ethereum network. With limitations on the number of transactions Ethereum can handle, users on the network have bid up gas prices to ensure their transactions quickly settle. With the average cost of transferring an NFT averaging $15 at the time of writing, trading volume for NFTs has plummeted.

Immutable X also focuses on improving NFT liquidity to ensure as a buyer you find what you’re looking for, and as a seller you can find someone who wants your NFT. This is done in a couple of ways:

• They’ve created what is known as a “metadata order”, or the ability for buyers to quickly and easily purchase assets (single, or in bulk) based on an NFTs underlying properties (or “metadata”). This is a major advancement over today’s high-friction trading, where users are often forced to sort through thousands of NFTs that differ ever so slightly to find what they’re looking for at the best available price.
• Immutable X offers pooled liquidity, allowing assets to be listed instantly on every exchange that supports Immutable X.

Illuvium’s Core Mechanics: Minting, Burning, and Exchange

From the very beginning, the standard paradigm of most NFT games had become uninteresting, and lacking in utility. Buy a digital asset, own it, and hope it appreciates in value. Some games allow you to buy NFTs and then play with them in a game. While certainly an improvement, we still felt there was more to the experience. There had to be a way to establish an emotional connection between the players and their collections. We aren’t the only ones to see the gap, and the subsequent opportunity in this, but we wanted to provide the most distinctive and original solution: an emotive experience that was consistently intriguing and rewarding throughout the entire process, from discovery all the way to exchange.

Inside Illuvium, you will encounter wild, mysterious, and combative creatures called Illuvials. On your journey through the many regions of this broken planet, you hunt, defeat, and capture them. To do this, you need a Shard; a specially-constructed sliver of crystal that traps the quantum signature of the beast inside. The quality of your Shard determines the chance of capture. A successful capture results in a new NFT token representing the Illuvial being minted and stored in your wallet. When you manage to capture a few of the same type, you Fuse them together, which burns the existing tokens and mints a more powerful creature.

Immutable X makes this vital process much easier, by taking away distraction and letting players simply explore and enjoy the world. Players are not bombarded by constant GAS fees for every little change to their collection. And transactions happen much faster, so players can stay focused on what they came here to do: Explore, Collect, Battle, and Earn.

Game Overview

Intro

You take the role of a survivor of a transport vessel in an intergalactic space fleet, investigating a perplexing distress beacon. When you finally reach the origin of the call, you discover a ruined planet, possibly the mythical cradle of your race’s civilization. A vast crystal ocean engulfs all but a tiny fraction of the planet. Extreme weather events assault the surface, giving way to strikingly varied climates. A burst of radiation disables the ship’s engines and you slam into the planet’s surface. Crawling free from the wreckage, you discover majestic beasts, some with near godlike power. Could this be what caused the downfall of this planet? Luckily, your race has begun to master the same energy that the Illuvials harness, and you are able to capture and control the deity-like fauna into slivers of crystal called Shards, mined from the planet’s surface. To uncover the mysteries of the planet, you become a Hunter, traveling across the land subduing and capturing Illuvials, and trying to unlock the Obelisks that keep most of the world closed off.

What are Illuvials?

The planet’s core spills out a strange radiation that the beasts harness to grow, mutate, and unleash deadly attacks. Some Illuvials are easy to find, some are incredibly rare. They are found across a vast landscape. The radiation itself pulses in a non organic way that seems vaguely familiar. There are more than 100 Illuvials to find and collect throughout the world, each possessing unique abilities. They form symbiotic relationships with one another based on common affinities or classes, called Synergies. Using a Hybrid Synergy System, Illuvials are stronger when working as a team in the Battle Arena so make sure to collect synergising pairs to maximise your chance of victory. Different synergies create different bonuses for your team, allowing you to outplay your opponent—even if they have Illuvials with more raw power than you. Fusion allows you to merge multiple Illuvials of the same type into a more powerful beast, with different attributes, sometimes belonging to a completely different Class or Type. Remember that some Lines of Illuvials are very rare and hard to find, making their Fused form even more difficult to discover

Team Building

In the immersive environment of this shattered planet, Illuvials phase in and out of existence and will be hard to track (both to hunt and avoid) — but when you do, don’t expect an easy fight. Once the battle starts, each Illuvial will find an enemy to engage in combat, aided by your in-game character who possesses technology advanced enough to stand firm against these incredibly powerful creatures. Keep in mind the synergies between Illuvials — it can be the difference between victory and defeat! Engage the mysterious Illuvials in battle — and if you win, they can be stored in a Shard, where they will accompany you on your personal Odyssey. Shards vary in power — if you’re dealing with stronger Illuvials, be sure to use a stronger Shard. Otherwise, you risk losing that rare creature forever. Combat will make them stronger, grow in levels, and develop their power. Once you collect three that have each reached their threshold level, you can fuse them together into a single, more powerful creature. Don’t worry if an Illuvial gets injured — the shard it returns to has a time-based regenerative protocol for anything stored within it. Your fighting team will be able to get back to full health over certain intervals of time. If you want them back right away, however, it can be done by using various items or paying a small fee to bring them back to full health. Some are more rare than others, and if you are lucky you might just get a Shiny, Gold, or Holographic rare capture. If you do, your Illuvial will always stand out, intimidate, and perhaps reign undefeated, in the Arenas.

Affinities

The origins of Illuvials themselves is a mystery, but so is their affinity to the elements of this alien world. Illuvials connect predominantly with one of 5 elements: Water, Fire, Earth, Air and Nature. The most powerful Ascended form affinities with two elements (Frost = Air + Water), or a stronger bond with a single element (Inferno = Fire + Fire). Make sure your team is strategically chosen. Your Archeleon might be strong with its Overgrowth Affinity (Nature + Nature), but in combat with an Inferno Illuvial they will be at a severe disadvantage so choose wisely.

Classes

Illuvials are grouped into one of 5 classes: Fighter, Guardian, Rogue, Psion and Empath. As in many RPGs, the choices you make regarding the class of your Illuvials will affect the outcome of your battles with wild Illuvials. Draft a team ideally synergistic in qualities and traits that can work well together as a single fighting unit. Ascended forms are so powerful that sometimes they embody two classes simultaneously, such as Slayer (Fighter + Rogue), or become stronger in a single class such as Invoker (Psion + Psion).

The Illuviary

After the crash, you stumble upon an almanac, with the word “Illuviary” scrawled across it. One of your people must have landed here long ago. Inside, you will find an index of every Illuvial found across Illuvium, but all locked. To unlock the entries you must find and capture the Illuvials and record their digital signature into the Illuviary. If you are the first in the universe to discover a particular digital signature, your name will forever appear next to your discovery in the worldwide Illuviary database. But this digital signature contains far more than just their biology… It just might be the key to unlocking the mystery of Illuvium. From its inception, we envisioned Illuvium to be a game of discovery and mystery. As such, on release there will be no public information in-advance regarding many of the Illuvials in the world. We expect that many of the entries will be filled on Day One, but we hope that players enjoy that sense of wonder that comes from pure discovery and exploration.

How Do I Play?

Start by customising your character. Then select your Polymorphic Subordinate Drone. Once you and your sidekick are ready, you can then head out to explore the various regions of the world, and the mysteries that shattered it. As you adventure, you will encounter Illuvials that you can fight. If you subdue them, use a Shard to snap them up so they are yours permanently. Be careful though, Shards have varying power levels. Less powerful Shards are likely to fail against powerful Illuvials. For players just starting out, you will be able to mine free shards that are only capable of capturing a select few Illuvials that are far less powerful than some. But you will be able to get started in the game without any expense and learn the mechanics. We feel this is a welcome change from games that require a large amount of capital upfront to play. There are many regions to explore, but most will be inaccessible to the first generation of players. Over time, players will unlock Obelisks which allow for travel to new beautiful, challenging, and important regions that come with new Illuvials to battle and collect, and shed more light on the enigma that happened here.

Adventuring

For some players, the draw of the game will be travelling across the world and collecting Illuvials. As more and more are found, their capture rate will change, because it is fundamentally tied to the number that have been captured thus far. The difficulty to capture Illuvials will also grow. As you adventure and encounter Illuvials in the wild, your current team (including yourself) will grow in power.

Battle Arenas

Other players will choose to battle each other to prove who is the superior Hunter. These players will queue in the Ranked Arena where they can be matched with a random opponent of a similar skill, or call out other players in ad-hoc wagered matches in the Leviathan Arena. Other players will be able to spectate and wager on the outcomes.

IlluviDEX (The Illuvium Exchange)

The Illuvium exchange is an online marketplace, governed by the Illuvium DAO, for players to buy and sell all in-game NFTs. The major component of the IlluviDEX is the trading of Illuvials, but all NFTs found in the game can be traded there..

Mining and Harvesting

Your subordinate drone isn’t just a good-looking gadget. In addition to storage and assistance during battle, your PSD is also capable of mining minerals from the planet’s surface, and forging them into useful items. The landscape is speckled with deposits that contain ore, uncured shards, and rare gemstones. After harvesting these, use your drone to forge them into weapons and suits of armor by infusing the materials with energy. Some materials are much more rare, and provide stronger bonuses to your equipment. Wield these yourself for an advantage in combat, or sell them on the IlluviDEX. Illuvium is also littered with trees that produce various alien fruits that pulsate with energy. Harvest these to create enhancements for your Illuvials in battle, or to nurse them back to health without heading back to Sanctum Mesa.

Shards

Shards are probably the most important item in the game. It is only with these shards that players are able to capture Illuvials that they best in combat. As such, each player will want to be stocked with a few before venturing into the world. You can mine them from deposits, but you’ll always want to make sure you have something available in case you encounter a rare Illuvial. Like most elements in the game, Shards come in a variety of tiers based on their power at capturing Illuvials. The stronger the Illuvial, the harder they are to capture. This is where a strong shard is most effective. The quality of the shard you pull from the ground is random, with the most powerful ones being the rarest. If you want to make sure that you can capture everything you find in the world, then it is worth checking out the IlluviDEX where you can acquire shards.

Weapons

In Illuvium, it is not just the Illuvials that fight. You as the player character get to fight in the battle, wielding futuristic weapons that can be equipped with gemstones that store the essence of Illuvials, allowing you to emit an aura that boosts your Illuvials in combat. Your choice of weapons also determines your class, which gives additional benefits to your team. Weapons can be sold on the IlluviDEX like most other NFTs in the game.

Armor

Also forged from items mined on Illuvium, armour is your defense against the beasts that you fight. If your armour becomes too damaged you may need to wait until it regenerates. However, your choice of armour can sway the battle, as each suit has different properties. Choosing the right one for you and your team is one of the many decisions you will make in the game. Armor can be sold on the IlluviDEX like most other NFTs in the game.

Imbues

Imbues are cosmetic changes that can add value to a player’s collection by further differentiating their acquisitions from others. Imbues are modular in nature and can be applied to multiple items, or you may decide to sell them on the IlluviDEX. Various items in the game can be imbued, such as weapons, armour and even your Drone.

Different multiplayer modes and play styles

Pirates of the Arrland – in the first phase – will be an multiplayer PvP game. Participants will be able to play as their NFT avatars in two different camera settings: First Person Perspective and Third Person Perspective.

Players will compete with others to earn glory and rewards in different game modes such as: deathmatch, capture the flag, battle royale and others. They will be able to play individually or cooperate as a team.

There will be a possibility to use NFT items as an aid in the fight against other players. You’ll be able to use it to attack the enemy directly, or to take advantage of an opportunity that he sees on the battlefeld. Different maps will have different terrain amenities that everyone will be able to use to make the rest of the players diffcult to achieve their desired goals. The game will have many different settings. Tropical islands are just the beginning. Next, upcoming lands will vary from ice, snowy islands, undergrounds and more. There’ll be many various habitats occupied by other nations and monsters.

Pirates will have the ability to go through some co-operative missions. During these missions, it will be important to choose the right pirate and skillfully use its unique properties.
The more pirates the player owns, the more game possibilities and replayability will occur.

Special modes will be prepared for players who want a greater thrill and more serious competition. Multiplayer naval battles, raids on the territory of the enemy alliance, the theft of precious gems from the treasury are just some of the attractions waiting for the inhabitants of the Arrland metaversum.

In the future, we plan to port game for different platforms – so that you can play on multiple devices. Also, we’d like to introduce shortened mobile version (for strategic and economic management only) – so that you can supervise the development of your colony everywhere and anytime.The project will be constantly developed. NFT main collections

In October 2021 we’ve created a randomly generated collection of 10 000 NFT Genesis Men Pirates. Those pirates were created from over 300 different traits by using 3D and 2D graphics. Later, there will be 5 000 NFTs of Genesis Women Pirates. Those pirates will have unique features like ability to receive $RUM tokens, and to reproduce of so called “Young Pirates”.

Pirates from Young Pirates NFT collection will be created by genesis pirate owners, allowing more people to join the Arrland Metaverse, as only Pirate owners (Genesis or Young) will be able
to enter the game. The number of Young Pirates won’t be limited; however, they won’t generate $RUM tokens and they can’t reproduce.

Pirates have different items, clothes, and other stuff. Some of those items are permanently assigned to the Pirate, but most of the single items will be elements of the Pirate NFT
Items Collection. Players will be able to find them in the chests during missions or craft them by using appropriate resources. Completing the quest will be rewarded by variety of
different items, which will have multiple uses in the Arrland Metaverse. At some point, there’ll be also a possibility to trade these items between players.

Most of the NFT items will be multifunctional with different rarity levels. For example a coconut can be:

A glance at islands, buildings and economy

Every Pirate will have its own small private island with only 1 small slot for a building or plantation. There will be different kinds of buildings that will require an appropriate number of resources, space, and a $RUM token to be built. Some buildings cannot be built on islands that are too small. Some buidings will need a pirate to operate them.

In the future, there will be a possibility to create other archipelagos with other environment settings like deserts, icy lands, or a dead world.

We plan to introduce a collection of unique, high-quality Legendary NFT Items that will be available only to $RUM holders in the gamifed presale.

There will be also cruising ships between islands, that will be led by those Pirates who have the appropriate amount of respect. Most of those ships will be created by players but some of them will be available to acquire by minting the Legendary NFT Ships collection.

Pirate King Treasury is a pool that will be divided into special rewards every month and eventually will be burnt. It will be raised from the initial tokenomics for 5 years and from the part of tokens that will be spent by players. DAO will decide what happens to a the Treasury and how it is distributed.

The history of the FOTA Universe

In the early days, the universe was an infinite space covered with darkness, there was an evil entity called the Darkness. And then one day, the most destructive explosion ever happened, bending all space-time, tearing the silence apart, pushing back the dark and ushering in an era of mysterious chaos.
The energy from that explosion reshaped the universe and gave birth to two opposite realms – The Physical and the Spiritual Realm. Those two realms coexisted like two sides of the same coin, bringing the universe back into balance. From here, there were contrary concepts giving explanations for the dawn of all creation: the light and the dark, life and death… The explosion was later called the Big Bang, Aether – or “Creator” – was the name given to the energy source it generated. In the Spiritual Realm, the first rays of light in the explosion were shaped and linked together to form a beautiful land known as “The Greenland – The Land of Eternity”.

The pure energy of Aether slowly turned into the soul, and thus the first living things – The Omni – were born. For being closest to the Aether, the Omni possess supernatural power and the Eye that can see things, create space. Besides the powerful Omni, there is also the Dragon – mysterious and long-lived creatures which were born from the primordial light. All have made the Greenland extremely flourishing and they are all aware of their race’s great responsibility in protecting, maintaining, and developing the universe’s balance. Thus, many Omnis have used their power to open Space Bridge in search of new lands, track and guide native races to use Aether’s energy to push the advancement of their worlds. Therefore, the Omni are worshiped as the gods of the big universe. However, the Omni realized that due to the boundary between the two realms, they could not communicate directly with other races in the Physical Realm. Beings on the Physical Realm, on the other hand, did not know how to unlock the hidden spiritual power within their bodies, so these creatures are far inferior to those of the Greenland – Omnis and Dragons. As a result, the Omni have found many ways, trying to communicate with the Physical Realm but all are very limited.

As opposed to the Greenland of Spiritual Realm, the Physical Realm is consistent with the laws of nature, with the physical body. The Aether energy in each being is very little and not everyone can feel it, except for magicians, no one else has this kind of power. These magicians are born with the Eye, which allows them to sense and use the power from Aether, they come from many races but mostly the Human on the Earth – the dominant beings in the Physical Realm. Those magicians gathered together and built The Sun Temple to train and control the power of Aether, they called it magic and let other inferior creatures take advantage of it with complex spells. Passing through many hardships, only the most powerful magicians could interact with the Omni and usher in a new era for the Human and the Physical Realm.

In order to maintain the universe’s balance and prove their role, the Omni began to teach the Human to utilize the power of Aether and unlock their hidden power. The first human magicians, led by The Omni, evolved to a higher level and became The Elf – lived under the guard of the Omni, they worshiped and lived their lives in the manner of the Omni. From here, the Earth flourished and became the greatest Middle-Earth that history has ever recorded, thanks to the Great Magic at the Sun Temple.
The interaction between the two realms appeared to be a beautiful dream bringing prosperity and balance to this universe from now on, no one knew it was just the calm before the storm. At that time, the Silver Serpent – the most powerful king of the Earth, with ambitions to rule the realms, had given the order to carry out horrific experiments on the human body to explore the Aether and master its power. Then, he realized that the Aether energy would strengthen their natures, skills and make them stronger than ever, the more energy they absorbed, the stronger they became. Those who were stripped of their Aether would soon become mindless zombies who just took orders from others. One side tried to protect the Earth beings as well as find ways to solve everything peacefully, the other side said that the Earth had gradually corrupted and needed to be eliminated to bring back the balance for other worlds. The conflict occurred, those disgruntled shaped the course of history by destroying the Earth alone. Then, right on the Greenland, a battle took place between the Omnis, without the support of the Dragons, the group of disgruntled Omnis was quickly defeated, stripped of their power and banished from their homeland forever. After this failure, those Omnis became more and more negative and they were devoured by envy and hatred towards the Greenland, they believed that their race, the Omni, were the most powerful beings in the universe to conquer all life.

Without a shadow of dark, the real Omnis has learnt of the existence of Demons and Beasts, they offered alliances to not only the Dragon but also the Elf and Magicians on the Earth, ready for the next fight of the age.

The Demons were not less than that, they came to the Earth, bestowed dark power from the Darkness as well as conciliated the fallen magicians to their side, turned them into an army known as the Orge. Unlike the Elf, the Ogre gradually became an obsession for all creatures on the Earth. What is LAND in The Sandbox?
A LAND is a digital piece of real estate in The Sandbox metaverse that players can buy to build experiences on top of. Once you own a LAND, you will be able to populate it with Games and Assets. Each LAND is a unique non-fungible token lying on the public Ethereum blockchain.

SAND

SAND is the utility token used throughout The Sandbox ecosystem as the basis for transactions and interactions. It is an ERC-20 utility token built on the Ethereum blockchain. There is a finite supply of 3,000,000,000 SAND.

What is “The Sandbox” (SAND)

The Sandbox is a virtual metaverse where players can build, own, and monetize their gaming experiences on the Ethereum blockchain using the platform’s utility token SAND. Players can create digital assets in the form of Non-Fungible Tokens (NFTs), upload them to the marketplace, and integrate them into games with Game Maker.

A LAND is a digital piece of real estate in The Sandbox metaverse that players can buy to build experiences on. Once a player owns a piece of LAND, they will be able to populate it with games and ASSETS. Multiple LANDS can be combined to form an ESTATE.

Gameplay Experience

The gaming experience on the new The Sandbox platform will be launched through several intermediary phases, with increasingly more complex features in each. When the alpha version is launched, players will be able to make transactions and store their digital voxel ASSETS while also playing and interacting with other voxel asset creators and players in different user generated worlds. The gaming experience will make The Sandbox a strong blockchain-based alternative to existing platforms such as Minecraft and Roblox.

Even for players who do not create discrete items to sell on the UGC store, the combination of creativity and security can pay off for players who create LANDS with compelling attractions. This is because a LAND might have different revenue streams implemented on it, like microtransactions. Additionally, players can play-to-earn by collecting rewards through gameplay.

We expect a wide variety of audiences to enjoy gaming experiences in The Sandbox marketplace. We have identified some of the types of games creators will be able to craft for them:

● Social Experiences: The ASSET marketplace will allow creators to fully decorate their spaces with beautiful sceneries and structures such as a fairy wonderland, a medieval town, or even a futuristic space station. These types of experiences can attract communities of in-game friends that hang out for activities that combine social and gameplay elements.
● Build & Craft: Our voxel map is ideal for creators to make Building & Crafting experiences. Creators will be able to facilitate players with interesting experiences like building
competitions, creating their own play spaces. All these tools and mechanics will be able to interact with the terrain to modify it, build over it or even completely destroy it.
● Exploration & Adventure: Solve the mystery of the cursed swamp, slay the mercenary king of the endless desert, help the rebellion of the exiled prince of the elder LANDS or even discover all the hidden secrets of the ancient temple! Creators will be able to bring narrative, exploration and adventure gameplay to their LAND. Each new LAND will be different, offering new potential to discover new LANDS, meet new people and discover never before seen secrets!

Map – LANDS

The persistent map determines a player’s specific LAND coordinate. In most blockchain games where player domains are sold like real estate, the specific location of a domain is of paramount importance as it will determine who and what you are next to. Similarly, in The Sandbox there is a finite amount of LANDS, and their location is determined initially in the map, and cannot be moved from one coordinate of the world map to the other.

There are several advantages to this structure:

● Players have the agency to combine LANDS to create a bigger gaming space with and near
their friends; and
● Friends can cooperate in the creation of these larger experiences by building experiences together within the combined LAND and thus sharing the rewards (whether financial or purely social or artistic).

There is also an economic incentive for players to work together via a combined LAND. For instance, if several players band together they can create a ‘theme park’ experience, with each member focusing on a key attraction, or members can focus on distinct neighborhoods that together create a ‘city’ experience. In each case, the team effort allows players to cooperatively create a stronger incentive for players to visit and enjoy their creations—and more visits results in more revenue to be shared.

It’s true that a single player with one LAND can keep all the revenue from that LAND, but a larger, more diverse collection of LANDS combined can boost financial rewards to be shared by charging, for example, for a SUPER PASS that allows a player to visit all the gaming experiences in a combined LAND, with the revenue from the SUPER PASS shared between all the owners of said LAND.

There will be limits on joining LANDS together to keep certain conglomerations from having too much control and power against solo players.

ASSETS Marketplace

The marketplace will use smart contracts to control item auctions and transactions. This open marketplace for creators and developers will allow for the free trade of in-game assets between the platform users. Additional benefits of this marketplace are that economic principles of supply and demand become automatically integrated into the system, allowing the community to determine the fair price of usergenerated ASSETS. The true strength of this marketplace, however, is that creators of such ASSETS can finally generate true tangible real-world value from the voxel content they create.

The ASSET tokens in our marketplace will require several pieces of information in order to properly be displayed as a sellable good. These pieces of info are:

● Name & Genre: In order to better identify the ASSET being sold, and to help potential buyers in finding it in the marketplace, the ASSET will require a name and a genre;
● Description: The description will help creators add specifications like size, model, potential uses or even attach a short piece of fictional lore to the ASSET;
● Thumbnail: The marketplace will show what the ASSET itself looks like via several thumbnails of the ASSET. We will include a feature in our voxel editor that will automatically generate these thumbnails for the creators;
● Price: The creator will have total control over the price the ASSET will have on the marketplace. This price will be set in SAND.
● Value: Creators will define Rarity, Scarcity and Attributes thanks to the Gems & Catalytsts system.

Once all these requirements are met, the ASSET will be successfully displayed on the marketplace and be available for purchase.

VoxEdit

Under the philosophy of “CREATE, ANIMATE, PLAY” VoxEdit is the voxel modeling software that allows the artist to rig models and animate them using a user-friendly keyframe interpolation timeline.

● Modeling: Having other software that also lets you model your own voxel art – what makes the modeling in VoxEdit different is that it is aimed at artists. That commodity is
thanks to a user-friendly interface, powerful tools to let the artists model anything they want, but also stay connected with them all the time to hear their feedback, what would be nice to have, and especially what would make their life using VoxEdit much easier.

● Animation: Here is where VoxEdit stands out. VoxEdit uses a skeletal system with hierarchies, like the ones used in professional 3D software like Maya, 3D Max, Cinema 4D, etc, allowing the Artist to rig anything they want and be ready for animation. It is the only voxel modeling software that allows to model AND animate your ASSETS. Once the skeleton is made, the artist can create any type of animation moving the different parts of their model with an easy-to-use timeline. The timeline works like a video editing software timeline, using layers to represent what part of the model you are moving and creating key-frames to set the position, rotation and scale. The magic happens thanks to the interpolation of these key-frames that the timeline does in the background.

● Exporting:
VoxEdit allows the artist to export their creation in .VXM and .VXR, formats that our Marketplace and games use to create a super smooth communication between the three parts. What is Supremacy

Supremacy is a single game world comprising a collection of game platforms that interact together synchronously in the metaverse in real-time; actions by one Citizen on one platform may have wide-ranging effects on Citizens planet-wide.

Each platform is designed to be played independently (without the need to interact with other platforms within the metaverse) AND concurrently (in conjunction with other platforms). The Citizen gets to choose.

NFT War Machines

War machines are AI controlled and armed to the teeth. Equipped with weapons, armour, control systems and expansion slots, War Machines stand the size of an apartment building, and are designed to wreak havoc and cause maximum damage.

Starting with base models, Citizens will soon use in-game tokens to upgrade their War Machines with better weapons, stronger armour, offensive and defensive systems and AI pilots.
